You possibly saw him first win 106 and Parks’ - Wild Out Wednesday as the performer Devion Blacc in 2011. Since winning that honor as an R&B singer, Deven Rashaun decided to make his foray into Neo-Soul using his given name. Witness the birth of a new STAR.

His sound encompasses major influences from the genres of R&B, Old School, Pop and sexy Soul. His music is energetic, dynamic and different, yet familiar. There is a magnetism that draws you in. There is a hunger that Deven possesses that few artist exhibit in this day and age. He is sincerely gifted and talented. He says, “All I want to do is music”. All-in-all, this young man exudes a quiet sexiness that his fans will gravitate to and appreciate. Here is some insight into a few of the songs that are slated to be included on this soon-to-be classic, Lounge Sessions Volume I – The Singer. ‘The Way Love Feels’ – This slow tempo ballad is his first release… When you get the feeling like everything is right as long as you’re with this certain person.. lust, infatuation and wonder… feelings that make you ask.. is this what love feels like. ‘Do You Care’ this a medium tempo song and the name says it all…you have done everything you can in your power to love this person… you notice that the way you have been treated and perceived has changed…so now you want to know if this person cares anymore.. or did they ever care at all. ‘Modern Day Woman’ is set to be an up-tempo classic soul song. Now you have found the perfect person for you … the type of person that treats you with love and respect the way people did in the old school days… and now that you have found this person… you feel that your journey of love is completed. These songs are just introductions to what’s in store for the fans of this soon-to-be Grammy winner.
Mr. Deven Rashaun will be collaborating with some heavy-hitters out of the gate. Two songs are planned with Soca artist Adrian Dutchin. Singles are also being prepared in conjunction with Black Violin and the Legendary God-Father of Hip Hop, The Amun-Ra Afrika Bambaataa. Deven’s team also includes Platinum-Producer The Beatdoctor, assisting in making his debut spectacular! His career is well under way with the much anticipated release of his music video for ‘The Way Love Feels’. This song is the first of seven songs that will be the soundtrack to the Deven Rashaun Video-Movie.
